The perfect 2-in1 3D balance & core trainer
The worlds best 2in1 balance board can take you from zero to hero. The Disc is there for the days when you just want some simple, pleasurable & beneficial balance movement. Great for beginners, physiotherapy, and standing desks. The Ball is there to add an extra dimension, always a little challenge, incredibly beneficial and highly addictive!
Medium Size Board
Ideal for 3D balance training without pushing the limits. A great all round Board for the whole family, for runners, court & pitch based sports, relieving back ache, for refusing to get old, and injury prevention and recovery.
The Board is smaller than the Large, and the smaller safety ring marries beautifully with our Small Ball to give a confidence inspiring learning curve. Anyone of any size can get going easily and have a lot of fun and training benefit with this combination of Board and Ball. People over 175cm / UK9 EU43 / 80kgs may prefer our Large Board of our Ultra Packages, but can still use this set-up just fine. I do, and I am 185cm / UK12 EU47 / 100kgs.
Board size has little effect when used on the Disc

Disc
The beauty of the Discs is the movement they give. Traditional wobble boards suffer with very no/off movement, often impossible to keep level and frustrating to use. Our inflatable Discs offer a far more progressive and rounded movement, so CoolBoard on Disc is far more enjoyable, encouraging you to use and benefit from it.
40cm Disc – for Standing Balance we recommend starting on this Disc. If you can walk and stand you can use it and you probably won’t need a support. Perfect for general balance training, Standing Desk Balance and Movement, Physiotherapy, Single Leg work, Fun balancing around the house. Its great and our go to Disc time and time again.
30cm Disc – be aware. This Disc is perfect for Sitting Mobility (using CoolBoard while you sit). For Standing Balance this Disc requires a lot of focus to keep it level. This in turn makes the stabilising muscles and tendons around your joints work very hard. If you have any pre existing issues, e.g. an achy knee, please DO NOT start on this Disc because you will overwork that area of issue. Use the 40cm Disc and build up your strength gradually.
Both Discs are high quality and easily adjustable by inflation, so you can increase the balance challenge as your skills and strengths grow. With an almost flat 40cm Disc we have helped recovering stroke victims. With a highly inflated 30cm Disc we’ve pushed Olympians!
Small Ball
Gorgeous, silky, addictive movement… ‘feels like a hoverboard’ is a common comment. There is just nothing like the joyous movement of this Ball, you’ve got to try it to believe it.
The Standard Speed Small Size Ball at 100mm is just right to get you going easily enough, whilst offering a challenge that will keep you coming back for more, for years, the Goldilocks ball.
PLEASE NOTE: Our Balls are very important to your balance experience, and key to allowing everyday people to enjoy and succeed in balancing on a ball. We might make the most intelligently designed and beautifully crafted Boards, but it is our unique Balls that really make the CoolBoard difference.
The relationship between; speed of movement (ball material) / size of Ball / size of Board and size of safety ring – have a big impact on the quality of movement. It is quite easy to make a board and ball that will just about work, there are increasing numbers of copycat products, but they will be frustrating to use and impossible to relax into, you’ll forever be fighting it, just about holding on.
Our Balls, made from our specific formula after years of development, never going under 100mm in size, will always feel just right. You will always be challenged, which is what you want, but not too much, so you will find your flow and be able to relax into it. Then it’s up to you whether you use your control to make big moves, or to keep it chilled and centred.
Suitable for ‘up for it’ 10 – 80 year olds. Also available as Board & Disc for a gentle start, or Board, Ball & Disc for both.
Other sizes and speeds of Ball are available as accessories, so you can add to your balance arsenal in the future.
Is it fun?
Oh yes! On Disc its takes the chore out wobble boards and adds joy. On Ball it’s simply in another league compared with roller or other balance boards. Impossible to explain in words, it’s just unique and highly addictive, and you can ride it gently or very dynamically depending on mood. It even makes exercises far more engaging.
Is it beneficial?
Yes, very! This is the beauty of true 3d movement, whether static on the Disc, or dynamic on the Ball. So many more muscles will be firing away to control that movement, so it really strengthens up stabilising muscles around joints, targets the core, and if you really want, hits those obliques with a sliding plank!
Is it Difficult?
Disc – no. If you can stand you can balance, just start with low inflation on the 40cm Disc and go from there. A support to hold onto is rarely if ever needed.
Ball – it depends on how you approach it. With instruction and a good support we have had 80 year old grandmothers up and happily balancing away within 10 minutes. However if you jump on it like an idiot, it may well bite you! Read the instructions, go easy, and you’ll be fine, better than fine! It’s the challenge that improves us.
Construction
Not just for Christmas, and definitely not for the cupboard! We believe in producing products that will not only last a lifetime, but will keep getting used and keep looking enticing. This makes any product a joy to own, more economical over the years, and saves the planet.
Your Board is engineered, by hand in our workshop in Bristol, UK, from high quality birch ply – one of the strongest plys there is – to a very high standard, including the indented ring to keep you safe on the Ball, and smooth rounded edges for comfortable exercising. It is then finished with 4 coats of durable lacquer. Finally the DuraSoft top is added. You will notice the graphics and logo run right through the DuraSoft, so there’s no printing to rub off and look scabby. This design has been steadily honed for over 19 years.
Yes, it all costs a bit more, but we would rather you still love your CoolBoard in 5 or 15 years’ time.
